Currently (from december 18 until the 24th) there is huge publicity for malaria in the Netherlands. 3 DJ's are locked in a so-called glass house in the middle of a marketsquare in Groningen, where they will broadcast 24h a day. These 3 are from the largest radio station (3FM) in the Netherlands, and people can request songs to play on the radio... for a price. Also a lot of people are selling cookies, or finding al sorts of ways to make money. All these donations will directly go to the Red Cross, which will use this money for Malaria-nets, medicine etc. Last year the total sum was 5.6 million euro!
We (the Dutch Power Cows) were already, though modestly, crunching for malaria control net, but we decided to plug into this action by raising some awareness. With some success, i might add;
people have been joining like crazy, and our points have gone up from around 10k a day to almost 200k - 250k!

Keep up the good work and give us the work we need, because 300.000 a day should be possible if members keep comming xD

I'm just hoping 3FM would spent a few minutes on this project.
At least both actions are very successful.
