I lead us all down a hole then we crawled out and proceeded to WIN ...

I though it was "don't lead us into temptation", where is temptation anyway ? I don't ever remember seeing a sign on the side of the road showing how far away it was.

It is about 2 miles South of you, it is also called a Strip Club or Gentleman's Club!!

John I am sorry it is still dark, have you tried actually opening your eyes yet?

WINNING!!!

Hey Mikey,

John can't read the message board unless he opens his eyes.

WINNING!!!

Yes, but Mikey's eyes popped out so he can't see what he is typing.

My dad has bluury vision from after his surgery Tuesday. I checked on him 3 evenings in a row. I'll go visit him soon today and I hope it is better and not a complication or [permanaent] side effect. We see the doctor Moanday to get his stitches out.

I can't see well either if I have my wrong pair of glasses on.

This message board sounds like the blind leading the blind .....

@Randy,
I think you should call that office on Monday and ask a general question and see if you get the same answer about the occupancy and that VB rule, just to be sure. You don't want to have the kids come home to find an eviction notice or some other torubles down the road.

I popped my eyes back in again, it was easy just line them up and push on them with my finger!

Keith that blurry vision could be a result of the stitches, he also could need glasses now.

As for Randy as long as he remembers the ladies name and had a witness I may just leave it alone, she said what she said and he does have a witness and the ladies name, so even if she retires there is not a whole lot they can do except make him go thru the process then instead of now. Randy MAY have to fight the costs and stuff as he asked now BEFORE the changes, but they should give in eventually. After all he DID ASK and got an OFFICIAL answer!

WINNING!!!

Finally, some GOOD news on my daughter's house.

Yesterday afternoon I took the property transfer papers to the city assessor to be file...no problems there. I asked the clerk where to get the occupancy permit and was told it was in a set of buildings about two miles away, but fairly easy to find.

Dan and I drove over there and found the proper clerk...a very nice lady. She looked the property up on the computer and was going to have us fill out a Vacant Building registration and inspection form--cost: $100 to register and $200 to get inspected; THEN we could get an occupancy permit. While I filled out the form, she went back to her computer and looked up a bunch of stuff.

When she came back, she asked how long before we planned to occupy the house--answer: <whispering>we already were. She then said, that since the property hadn't been vacant for a FULL six months, we wouldn't need to go through the VB registration and inspection program...now if we had waited until after the end of the month, the township was changing its rules and the building could only be vacant 30 days before it required the inspection, etc. Then she tore up the registration and said we should just remove the sticker from the door and forget about it.

Two possibilities here:
1. She hated her job so much she was willing to let us off the hook so the town would be 'out' the $300 fee, or...
2. She was such a dedicated public servant she was willing to give us a break and save us the $300 fee.

Hoping it was the latter, but regardless I am...

WINNING!!!

You actually seem to have found someone who CARES about people and their job!! She obviously was NOT a government robot who says "NO" and "NEXT"! Well done Randy!!! I am glad to hear the house is now up to par and liveable...legally!!

Keith I am also glad to hear the sales are picking up, that new stat should keep the boss happy too. You could use it too when he buys the bulk stuff again.

Today my weather is cold but not too bad, it is of course below freezing outside but it will go up into the mid 40's today and tomorrow then on Monday it is supposed to SNOW and rain all day long with the high at 40F!!

John I am sorry it is still dark, have you tried actually opening your eyes yet?

WINNING!!!
