Some advice, please. I have played around with various settings, but am not getting things optimised. My computer is on 24/7, but I have a fixed cap on my ADSL line. To minimise usage of my bandwidth, but maximise my output, what are the best settings to use? Sometimes Boinc only communicates every few hours, sometimes it communicates after every work unit is completed. TIA

I think the settings you want are under Your Account, When and how BOINC uses your computer, Use network only between the hours of Enforced by version 4.46+.
This means Boinc would only connect to the net during the hours you specified, reducing your bandwidth use by doing maximum stuff during the time allowed.
