	Hi, i got on all my hosts quite a lot of wus, which have errors \"cancelled\" in the workunit details. 	Got over 30 of these by now and counting! :-( I\'ve a couple of dozen that would normally be \"pending\" with 2 of 3 reporting successfully completed and the 3rd is \"In progress\". I erroneously cancelled a few workunits from the other apps on this project server, while trying to save some credits for the guys who crunched the optimizer testing app (which worked).. the shell script with the Mysql query had a typo... I doubt there is a way one can reverse this, because boinc already processed those wu\'s further.. but am looking into it. Trying to find out, how many wu\'s are affected (can\'t be too many). In the worst case I would prefer to leave it like that, unless there\'s an easy fix and we\'re 100% sure of what it entails, coz it\'s quiet dangerous to fiddle in the boinc database.. as we saw.. 	We tried to reactivate the canceled malariacontrol workunits. Please let us know if you find any results that might be an inconsistent state. I\'ve found a number of WUs with errors set to Couldn\'t send result. All have 3 results with 1 or 2 of them having outcome Success and granted credit of 0 and they seem to fit 3 different patterns: 1 or 2 results still in progress (e.g. 6493656). 1 or 2 results over deadline (e.g. 6459004). 1 or 2 results reported a few days ago having outcome Validate error and claimed credit discarded (e.g. 6446414). ____________ "The ultimate test of a moral society is the kind of world that it leaves to its children." - Dietrich Bonhoeffer

Couldn\'t you do some SQL code during a maintenance period that says something along the lines if result validate state = \"Workunit error - check skipped\" then granted credit = average credit for the wu. I know they did something along those lines at Cosmology when they changed the url and people couldn\'t report their results even though they were completed.

	Couldn\'t you do some SQL code during a maintenance period that says something along the lines if result validate state = \"Workunit error - check skipped\" then granted credit = average credit for the wu. I know they did something along those lines at Cosmology when they changed the url and people couldn\'t report their results even though they were completed. That really would be helpful... Glancing back through the \'Success Workunit error - check skipped\' WU\'s with 0.00 credits and mine are through the roof. Kind of disheartening, even for a beta project... :\| -jim ____________

I\'ve been tracking my \"can\'t send result\" WUs, and it appears that once the quorum for these WUs is met, they receive credit, although showing 0.00 creds all the time before the quorum was met. I noticed this with 3 of my WUs. Will check the others as well and see if that\'s a general thing happening. EDIT: Just checked. I had over 45 of these WUs, now I can only find 23 of them in my results list. Maybe, with some time, the problem will indeed solve itself. Can anyone of you, who are affected as well, confirm my findings? ____________

The results that are no longer there are probably some of the older ones and have been removed in the \"normal\" cycle of wu deletion. I believe nothing will be done since michael (project admin) said \"I doubt there is a way one can reverse this, because boinc already processed those wu\'s further.. but am looking into it. Trying to find out, how many wu\'s are affected (can\'t be too many). In the worst case I would prefer to leave it like that, unless there\'s an easy fix and we\'re 100% sure of what it entails, coz it\'s quiet dangerous to fiddle in the boinc database..\" Ho hum....and a little disappointing.

I\'d rather say thanks to Alain for trying to give us some creds and fiddling with the SQL data base instead of complaining over a few lost creds. :-) Hi thanks for the input, but its not the credits that I\'m worry about, that is not important, what I like to know is if the work came out right or was it a fault of mu pc of the wu\'s. What really matter is that the work gets done. what ticks me is that I had had so very few client error and in that batch 90% of my WU\'S came out good. I understand that errors can happen, is a fact of life. Just want to learn what happen. I have chech my pc up and down and can find a problem. Did the same wu\'s again and gotr the same result. ____________
